For many years, Memorial Day Weekend (MDW) transformed Pensacola Beach into a major destination for LGBTQ travelers from across the Southeast and beyond. Through photographs, memorabilia, and personal memories, this collection preserves the people, places, businesses, and events that helped make Memorial Day Weekend a significant part of Pensacola's LGBTQ history and one of the largest LGBTQ gatherings on the Gulf Coast.
